Today four pristine pieces of press board (4 feet by 4 feet) were being thrown out a couple of blocks from the studio on 2nd Ave. at 25th Street. I grabbed them for the studio.
They'll be swell large canvases to nail on side of shack and paint on.
I used my bike to convey them over to the studio and used a makeshift cardboard sled in the back of the bike, so back of the cargo slid along the pavement just dandy and the weight of the wood was carried by the pedal of the bike. Yankee ingenuity wins the day!
Also, I tried out some performance art explorations in the afternoon at the studio as a warm up to working. I'm into mime and played around with some ideas for a mime piece around the studio.
Not sure if it will go anywhere, but it's great to warm up the body before other work, although I haven't got into any painting yet.
